“You must live for the day, for the hour, for the minute, for the second; live in the ever present moment. Have no anxiety for the morrow and do the best you can. You will have to be patient and pray for guidance that at the right time the door will open and the way will be shown.”
We are told that life is an illusion, so think positive! You are what you think. Imagine and visualise what you want and it will come to you, no problem.
I am guessing that many have tried all these things and sadly it didn’t really work for you.
You may have gotten a few things, perhaps minor, but not the really major things you wanted or needed at the time.
Mmm… Well what does this mean? Are you undeserving, still not thinking right? Is that what you are feeling? Need more classes, coaching, healing?
Well all these things help us in our travels upon this earth and yes some people have more ‘wisdom’ than others and can guide us for sure, but in the end what is the real issue?
The real issue for me was not listening to my own intuitions and putting the negative comments of others to one side. I will tell you one of my own stories on positive thinking.
Many, many years ago (yes folks I am getting older!) I was going through one of my numerous tough patches. Money was such an issue for me. It was pretty dire at times. My spirit guides were trying to encourage me to understand that the more I feared the lack of financial support, the more it moved away from me.
Logical, but still, I am human and sometimes my emotions got in the way or the stress was too heavy and I just couldn’t manage it at the time to get my head in the right space. We have all gone through this I am sure. This is life.
So, I went to talk to a person who specialised in coaching etc., who I knew. To summarise, she told me that it was my fault that I could not get abundance as I didn’t ask enough and was impatient. Well! This made me cross. I had been trying everyday for five years! Without fail. I followed all the rules in the books and I thought five years was enough and showed a lot of patience. She looked me in the eye and told me that I was doing it wrong! Wrong? Seriously, this was the advice. I walked away defeated. I would never get the hang of this life right. I must be undeserving.
Getting home that night I thought and thought about it. Well what is the answer?
I had no idea, except I knew that I had just been disempowered and felt downright low. I decided to sleep on it.
What I realised was that life is hard for all of us. Some from time to time and others a lot of the time. But we are resilient aren’t we? So what I did was put aside all the rules, lists and routines and just simply said a prayer every night asking for understanding and courage and then I followed my intuition. My own guidance.
Everyday I got up and told myself that this was going to be a good day. Sometimes it was, sometimes it wasn’t. But you know it got me through the years and the negativity from others and myriad of other issues that plagued me. I took each day as it came. Not worrying about the future or the next day.
I learned to rely on my intuition, a few very good and wise friends, and tried to surround myself with positive thinking people.
I had a cartoon on my office wall, that showed a circle of turkeys with their heads in the sand and the caption said “how can you fly, when you are always surrounded by turkeys?” Oh, how true is that?
Most successful business people only interact with positive people. Not the “carefree, I can do anything and make you a million” types, but the well grounded, well researched, intuitive individual with a positive attitude. They are diamonds to find.
A positive attitude can get you through the most difficult times, even if it doesn’t give you a shortcut in life, but just gives you the ability to keep going no matter what. That takes courage and I salute you.
Using positive sayings may help you to keep going. Print them out or write them on paper and stick them up all over the place. I used this to help me overcome my own negative feelings when I needed some positive influence.
I had them in my desk drawer, on my car seat when I got into the car, back of my bathroom door, on my bathroom mirror and on the back of the front door. I really bombarded myself with positive reinforcement and it worked! I was and still am determined to improve myself.
This may not be your ‘cup of tea’, but you get the picture. Thinking positive does help you get through life, but do it in a way that works for you. This is empowerment. You know yourself best. Get advice, help, support as well when needed and use that information in a way that will empower you. Go with your intuition always. You are a child of God , no less than the sun and the sky, you are loved and wanted. This is just a journey, a moment in time. This too will pass.
I will leave you with another quote:
“You are all human beings and imperfect. That is why you are on earth. If you were perfect you would not be where you are now. The function of your earthly life is simply to eliminate the imperfections.”
